STAINED GLASS:
HOLLYWOOD BLVD.

COME AND LISTEN TO WHAT HE HAS DONE

Everyone's pretty cynical about organized religion. And for good reason, right? Stained Glass: Hollywood Blvd. is a documentary film about a group of people in Hollywood who set out to discover if there's more to church than what we've all been thinking.

Me and my Cam

Me and my Cam
Rumblestar knows about Ephesians 6, baby.

The Story

How can we be a people among whom God dwells?

That was the question the Hollywood Adventist Church started asking shortly after my friends and I started attending last year.

We started going to the Hollywood Church when it was anything but a thriving community. This strange-looking, purple building, prominentally located on Hollywood Blvd. off the 101 freeway where thousands of people drive every day, was practically empty on Saturday morning. There were barely 60 people in the congregation and those people didn't even seem to know each other, much less function like a church family.

I don't even know what drew us there, except for this strange sense of potential . . .

The church started asking questions. What is church? Is it possible to invite the Holy Spirit's presence here? What is God's purpose for us here in Hollywood? How can we be the presence of Christ in Los Angeles? And they started asking God: Please, come dwell with us. Amazing things started happening.

Stained Glass: Hollywood Blvd. is a documentary film that tells that story.
